Do I need any prior experience to enroll?▼
No experience is required. Our programs are designed to take beginners from foundational concepts to confident, hands-on production.
What programs do you offer?▼
We offer the Digital Podcast & Media Production Program and Hands-On Studio Experience. The core program combines technical production training with creator-focused strategy; the hands-on experience gives students real studio practice.
How does the 16-week program schedule work?▼
The Digital Podcast & Media Production Program runs 16 weeks, 2 days per week. The Day Course meets Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Evening Course meets Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
What is the attendance policy?▼
Regular attendance is important because each session builds on the previous one. We ask students to attend every scheduled class and arrive on time so they can participate fully in hands-on activities and crew rotations.
What happens if I miss a class?▼
If you know you will miss a session, let us know as soon as possible. Instructors can provide guidance on what was covered, and students may arrange time during open studio hours or an upcoming session to make up practical work.
How are the sessions structured?▼
Each session blends short instructor-led demonstrations with hands-on practice in the studio. Students rotate through production roles, work on real equipment, and complete exercises that build toward a final capstone project.
Where are classes held?▼
All training takes place at our professional studio in Southfield, Michigan: 22114 Telegraph Road, Southfield, MI 48033.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?▼
No. Students train with the studio's professional equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, switchers, and editing software.
Who is LiT Podcast Academy for?▼
Our students include aspiring producers, students, content creators, career changers, entrepreneurs, small business owners, church media teams, and anyone passionate about media.
What will I be able to do after completing a program?▼
Graduates can confidently produce, record, edit, and distribute podcasts or media content, and will have a portfolio of real studio work.
How many students are in each course?▼
Seats are limited to 10 students per course. This keeps every session hands-on and gives each learner direct access to the equipment and instructors.
